Biscuit Belly’s Veterans Day Celebration: Honoring Those Who Served

At Biscuit Belly, our Veterans Day celebration is rooted in one simple truth: we are profoundly grateful for the bravery, sacrifice, and service of the men and women who have worn our nation’s uniform. This year, we were honored to serve 1,672 veterans across our locations. Each handshake, each “thank you,” and each warm conversation reminded us why this day matters so deeply. Our veterans shape our communities, our families, and our future, and serving them — not just on Veterans Day but every single day — is a privilege we don’t take lightly. We proudly offer a daily 10% discount to all veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders as a small, continued gesture of our appreciation.

Grateful for the Kentucky Veterans Day Parade in NuLu

This year was especially meaningful as the Kentucky Veterans Day Parade made its way to NuLu — right in the heart of where Biscuit Belly began. Seeing the streets filled with veterans, families, supporters, honor guards, and community groups created a powerful moment of unity for Louisville. We’re deeply thankful to the parade organizers for bringing this important Veterans Day celebration to our neighborhood.

Being located along the parade route gave us the unique opportunity to support veterans before they marched. Early that morning, our team served free coffee and biscuits & gravy to the veterans participating. Watching them gather, share stories, laugh, and fuel up together was a moment we’ll never forget. Their presence filled our NuLu space with pride, humility, and a sense of community that will stay with us long after the day has passed.

Looking Ahead With Gratitude

This year’s Veterans Day celebration reminded us just how important it is to pause and honor those who have given so much. We hope to continue this tradition, to grow it, and to serve even more veterans next year. Being a small part of their day — whether through a warm meal, a cup of coffee, or a simple moment of connection — is something we hold close to our hearts.

To every veteran who walked through our doors, marched in NuLu, or celebrated in their own way:
Thank you. We see you, we appreciate you, and we are honored to serve you.
