Breakfast concept Biscuit Belly, which currently has locations in Louisville, Kentucky and southern Indiana, is expanding to Georgia.
The fast-casual restaurant will open five franchised units in the state, with the first debuting in March 2022 at 3330 Cobb Parkway NW in Acworth. Openings are also planned next year for Marietta and Woodstock, as well as Newnan and Columbus.
Missy Moon and Robert Estapa with Fresh Development One LLC will operate the Georgia Biscuit Belly locations. The pair previously operated several franchise restaurant concepts including Newk’s Eatery and Quiznos.
Biscuit Belly’s menu offers a variety of biscuits and gravy, biscuit sandwiches and other breakfast items, as well as breakfast cocktails. Dishes include the Belly Buster, made with fried chicken breast, sausage, bacon, brisket, cheddar, mushroom gravy and an egg on a biscuit; pancake corndogs; and the Edge Veggie made with fried green tomatoes, mushroom gravy, cheddar and an egg on a biscuit.
